Spring is underway and it’s a mad rush to get every seed and plant into the ground. We’ve gotten all our plants in ground for the season including our peppers so while we still have tomato nursery stock for sale, have sold out of eggplant, peppers and tomatillos. We have blossoms on our summer squash and little fruit starting so I hope to have squash to sell in the next week or two. We are also growing small amount of nasturtiums. We are phasing out of our cilantro, parsley, lettuce and spinach. This winter we planted a little winter crop and were caught offguard by how quickly our bugs feasted on our pak choi, Bilko Cabbage and Kales. That’s farming! We already have fruit on some of our cherry tomatoes so I am expecting to sell in June. I am going to do some more planting of cabbage and a huge section of colored carrots! We are also cutting and bringing fresh herbs to market on request. We have been rearing two pullets, Lucky & Blackie, in the garage and will introduce them to the flock in two weeks. We just passed our Certified Naturally Grown annual inspection and I’m happy to report that this is our 3rd year with them. Thanks for reading and happy growing!
Also for the folks who have bought plants from me, please post pictures of your plants and the meals you make with them. Thanks!
